Authenticated code execution via unchecked SSID copy
Published Apr 13, 2026 · Updated Apr 13, 2026
Stack buffer overflow in TOTOLINK A800R 4.1.2cu.5137_B20200730 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a crafted SSID. setAppEasyWizardConfig retrieves apcliSsid with websGetVar and passes it to strcpy, which copies the unbounded value into a 32-byte stack buffer. A valid low-privilege session and network access to the management CGI are required; successful exploitation corrupts the process stack and can execute code or crash the service.
