Arbitrary file deletion via unvalidated session identifiers
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Path traversal in Zammad 7.0.2 and 7.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary server files and directories. Websocket and long-polling session management constructs internal file paths from client-supplied session identifiers without adequately restricting traversal elements. With the default file-based session store, one crafted request from a low-privilege session can remove paths outside session storage; Redis-backed instances are unaffected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
