CVE-2026-61487Network attack vector

Authenticated queue writes via temporary composite destinations

Published Jul 28, 2026 · Updated Jul 28, 2026

Improper authorization in Apache ActiveMQ before 5.19.9 and 6.0.0 through 6.2.7 allows remote authenticated users to bypass queue write ACLs. The broker treats a comma-separated composite of real queues as a temporary destination, so its authorization path applies temporary-destination permissions instead of each queue's write ACL. Low-privilege broker credentials suffice, and successful exploitation permits message publication to any listed queue without granting other broker privileges.
