Stored XSS via pre-render Twig validation
Published Jul 15, 2026 · Updated Jul 15, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Grav 2.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in visitors' browsers via page content. The Security::detectXss() validator inspects raw content before Twig resolves concatenated tags, attributes, and protocols, while page.content|raw emits the unchecked result. Exploitation requires page-write API permission and administrator-enabled Twig content processing; the payload persists and runs for page visitors.
