Account takeover via password-reset URL poisoning
Published Jul 15, 2026 · Updated Jul 15, 2026
Password reset poisoning in the Grav API plugin before 1.0.4 allows remote attackers to steal reset tokens through crafted email links. ResolvesAdminBaseUrl accepts admin_base_url, Referer, or Origin values after sanitizeHttpUrl checks only the scheme, then builds the emailed reset link with the untrusted host. Exploitation requires the API, Email, and Login plugins and a victim who follows the link, after which the targeted account can be reset.
