Configuration secret disclosure via sandboxed object serialization
Published Jul 10, 2026 · Updated Jul 10, 2026
Twig sandbox bypass in Grav before 2.0.2 allows remote authenticated users to read configuration secrets through page content. The sandbox exposes the raw Config object through the allow-listed grav.offsetGet('config') call, and object-dumping filters serialize it without applying the method gate. Page-author permission or write access to user/pages is sufficient, exposing the read-only configuration tree and embedded SMTP, API, and database credentials.
