Heap buffer overflow in Hikvision DS-2CD and DS-2DE Series cameras allows remote attackers to cause device malfunction via crafted packets. The cameras' undisclosed packet-processing path writes beyond a heap buffer when handling malformed packet data; Hikvision does not identify the protocol, parser, or copied field. No authentication or user interaction is required, but the additional conditions responsible for the published high attack complexity remain undisclosed.
