CVE-2026-61352Network attack vector

Code execution via RDP client race

Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026

Race condition in Microsoft Remote Desktop Client on supported Windows releases allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted RDP endpoint. Microsoft has disclosed only that the client performs concurrent access to a shared resource without proper synchronization and has not identified the affected function, object lifetime bug, or memory operation in public records. Exploitation requires a user to initiate or accept a session to an attacker-controlled RDP server, so reachability is limited to client systems that connect outbound; published sources do not describe post-exploitation scope beyond code execution in the client context.
