Authenticated code execution via unchecked plugin import
Published Apr 12, 2026 · Updated Apr 12, 2026
Code injection in AstrBot 4.22.0 through 4.22.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary Python via a plugin ZIP upload. The install_plugin_upload path extracts an uploaded archive, then StarManager imports its module with import without signing, sandboxing, or content validation. A valid dashboard token and access to the install-upload endpoint are required; top-level plugin code runs with the AstrBot process privileges.
