Unauthenticated command execution via unneutralized proto interpolation
Published Apr 12, 2026 · Updated Apr 12, 2026
OS command injection in TOTOLINK A7100RU 7.4cu.2313_b20191024 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via proto. The setNetworkCfg path in /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi interpolates proto with snprintf and passes the result to CsteSystem, where execv executes the injected command. Network reachability is sufficient; no authentication or user interaction is required, and successful requests run commands with the CGI handler's privileges.
