CVE-2026-61094Network attack vector

High-privilege database service takeover

Published Jul 21, 2026 · Updated Jul 21, 2026

Access control failure in MySQL replication allows remote authenticated users to take over affected MySQL Server and MySQL Cluster releases. Oracle identifies the Server: Replication component and MySQL Protocol exposure but has not disclosed the faulty operation or crafted input. A high-privilege database account with network access is required; affected releases are MySQL Server 8.4.0 through 8.4.10 and 9.7.0 through 9.7.1, and MySQL Cluster 8.0.0 through 8.0.47, 8.4.0 through 8.4.10, and 9.7.0 through 9.7.1; success grants complete control of the database service.
