Authenticated takeover via improper access control
Published Aug 18, 2026 · Updated Aug 20, 2026
Improper access control in Oracle WebCenter Sites 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to take over the application via HTTP. Oracle has disclosed only that the flaw is in the WebCenter Sites component and mapped it to CWE-284, without identifying the affected endpoint, function, or authorization check. Exploitation requires low-privileged application access over the network and no user interaction; Oracle rates the resulting impact as full compromise of the WebCenter Sites instance.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
