Low-privileged application takeover
Published Aug 18, 2026 · Updated Aug 20, 2026
Privilege escalation in Oracle WebCenter Sites 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to take over the application via HTTP requests. Oracle has not disclosed the vulnerable function or request path; the public record identifies only an access-control failure in the WebCenter Sites component that lets a low-privileged account perform operations reserved for higher privilege levels. Reachability requires valid low-privileged application credentials and network access to the HTTP interface, and the published impact is bounded to compromise of the WebCenter Sites instance itself.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
