Unauthenticated takeover via RMI
Published Aug 18, 2026 · Updated Aug 21, 2026
Improper access control in Oracle WebCenter Enterprise Capture 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0 allows remote attackers to take over the application via RMI. Oracle identifies the flaw only as an access-control issue in the Client Bundle reachable through RMI; public Oracle, CNA, and NVD records do not disclose the affected class, method, or validation step. Exposure requires network reachability to the product's RMI service and no prior authentication, and Oracle rates the outcome as full confidentiality, integrity, and availability compromise of the application.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
