Low-privileged local data access and tampering
Published Aug 18, 2026 · Updated Aug 20, 2026
Improper access control in Content Server in Oracle WebCenter Content 14.1.2.0.0 allows local users to read and modify critical data. Oracle has not disclosed the affected code path or missing authorization check beyond classifying the issue as CWE-284 in the Content Server component. Exploitation requires logon to the host where WebCenter Content runs and low privileges there, but a successful attack can expose or alter all data the instance can access and may affect connected products because Oracle scores the impact scope as changed.
