Data access and DoS via access control flaw
Published Aug 18, 2026 · Updated Aug 19, 2026
Improper access control in Oracle WebCenter Portal 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0 lets remote attackers read data or crash the service over HTTP. Oracle identifies the affected component as Portlet Services, but the public Oracle, NVD, and GitHub records do not disclose which request path or authorization check mishandles untrusted input. Exposure requires only unauthenticated network reachability to the portal, and the documented outcomes are unauthorized access to all portal-accessible data plus hangs or frequently repeatable crashes rather than code execution or data modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
