Webserver termination via unbounded SQL Box processing
Published Apr 20, 2026 · Updated Apr 20, 2026
Uncontrolled resource consumption in OTRS 7.0.x, 8.0.x, and 2023.x through 2026.2.x allows remote authenticated users to kill the webserver. The administrative SQL Box processes a resource-intensive database operation without limiting or throttling its resource allocation. Administrative privileges and user interaction are required, and successful exhaustion terminates the webserver process and interrupts service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
