Data tampering and DoS via missing authentication

Authentication bypass in Oracle Hospitality Simphony allows remote attackers to alter data or crash the POS service via HTTP. Oracle lists affected versions as 19.8-19.8.5, 19.9-19.9.3, and 19.10-19.10.1, but it has not published the affected endpoint or code path beyond a CISA-ADP CWE-306 mapping that indicates a missing authentication check on a critical POS function. Any deployment that exposes the Simphony POS HTTP interface to untrusted networks is in scope; successful exploitation enables unauthorized create, delete, or modify operations on application data and can also trigger a hang or frequently repeatable crash.
