CVE-2026-6052Network attack vector

Authenticated denial of service via MDC queries

Published May 27, 2026 · Updated May 27, 2026

Resource exhaustion in IBM Db2 11.5.0 through 11.5.9 and 12.1.0 through 12.1.4 allows remote authenticated users to exhaust memory. Certain queries against multidimensional clustering (MDC) tables cause the database engine to consume memory without adequate control; IBM has not disclosed the query form or internal locus. A valid database login and an MDC table are required, and successful exploitation interrupts database availability when memory is exhausted.
