Local service interruption via crafted query compilation
Published May 27, 2026 · Updated May 27, 2026
Uncontrolled resource consumption in IBM Db2 Server 11.5.0 through 11.5.9 and 12.1.0 through 12.1.4 allows local users to interrupt service. IBM has not disclosed which query-compiler operation mishandles the crafted query or how the small statement heap produces the denial of service. A low-privileged local account capable of executing queries is required, and the reported consequence is availability loss without data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=11.5.0 <=11.5.9
