CVE-2026-6045

Memory corruption via overflowing gradient-point allocation

Published Jun 15, 2026 · Updated Jun 15, 2026

Heap buffer overflow in LibreOffice 25.8 before 25.8.7 and 26.2 before 26.2.3 allows attackers to corrupt memory via a crafted document. The EMF+ gradient-brush importer multiplies an untrusted blend-point count to size a heap allocation without detecting integer overflow, then fills the undersized buffer using the original count. Opening a document containing the malformed graphic is required; the out-of-bounds writes can crash the process or corrupt its memory.
