Authenticated directory takeover via undisclosed authentication flaw
Published Jul 21, 2026 · Updated Jul 21, 2026
Improper authentication in Oracle Unified Directory 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to take over OUD Core via LDAP. Oracle and the CNA identify only OUD Core and do not disclose the authentication operation or LDAP input that bypasses its intended checks. A low-privilege LDAP account is required; successful exploitation grants full control of the directory, including its data and availability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
