Authentication bypass via noncanonicalized whitelisted URL
Published Apr 10, 2026 · Updated Apr 10, 2026
Path traversal in the HTTP handler of Tenda i6 1.0.0.7(2204) allows remote attackers to access restricted administrative pages. The R7WebsSecurityHandlerfunction accepts a URL beginning with a whitelisted prefix such as /public/ without canonicalizing the remaining path, so ../ escapes the public directory. No authentication or user interaction is required, and a request for /public/../system_upgrade.asp reaches the firmware-upgrade interface.
