CVE-2026-60103

Heap disclosure and crash via unchecked SDNA index

Published Jul 13, 2026 · Updated Jul 13, 2026

Out-of-bounds read in Blender 3.0.0 through 5.1.2 allows attackers to crash the application or read adjacent heap memory via a crafted .blend file. The sdna_expand_names() function uses the signed member_index field from the file as an index into sdna->members[] without checking the allocated range, then passes the resulting invalid pointer to strlen(). Opening or processing the crafted file is required; exploitation causes a SIGSEGV crash or disclosure of adjacent heap contents without modifying data.
