Arbitrary file overwrite via uncontained remote paths
Published Aug 24, 2026 · Updated Aug 24, 2026
Path traversal in Apache Camel Azure-Storage DataLake allows attackers to overwrite local files via crafted remote path names. DataLakeFileOperations.downloadToFile joins fileDir to PathItem.getName() without normalization or a containment check before writing. Reachability requires control over names in the consumed Data Lake filesystem, and writes run with the Camel process's filesystem privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=4.0.0 <4.14.9
