Crash or memory disclosure via dangling cache pointers
Published Jul 21, 2026 · Updated Jul 21, 2026
Use-after-free in Apache Fory Rust fory-core 0.13.0 through 1.3.0 allows remote attackers to crash processes or disclose memory. MetaStringReaderResolver saves raw pointers to values stored directly in HashMaps; growth rehashes move those values and leaves dynamic_read pointing at freed storage. Reachability requires an application to deserialize a crafted Fory payload; resulting undefined behavior is bounded to a process crash or memory disclosure.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0.13.0 <=1.3.0
