Administrator-browser script execution via unencoded fname
Published Apr 10, 2026 · Updated Apr 10, 2026
Stored XSS in Code Projects Simple IT Discussion Forum 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. The registration flow stores the fname parameter, and /admin/user.php renders that value without output encoding or filtering. Injection requires no login, but execution requires an administrator to open the user-management page, enabling actions in that browser context.
