Data disclosure via unchecked ORM ordering
Published Oct 16, 2026 · Updated Oct 16, 2026
ORM injection in Tandoor Recipes before 2.6.10 allows remote authenticated users to infer related user data via API ordering. Recipe search's _finalize_ordering(), RecipeBook ordering, and stored CustomFilter values pass unchecked field names to Django order_by(), which interprets double underscores as related-table traversal. Access to a space is required, and observable ordering exposes information about related users, including password hashes, email addresses, and administrator status, without establishing data modification or code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
