CVE-2026-59960Public exploitNetwork attack vector

CI runner command execution via unsanitized branch ref

Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026

OS command injection in Argos JavaScript SDKs before 6.2.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via crafted CI refs. The gitFetch and gitMergeBase functions interpolate unvalidated branch values into execSync command strings, causing the shell to interpret metacharacters. Exploitation requires control of a CI branch or ref and the hasRemoteContentAccess setting to be false; commands run with the upload process privileges and can expose secrets, alter artifacts, or compromise the runner.
