Service interruption via unbounded gzip extraction

Denial of service in Isaac Z. Schlueter tar before 7.5.19 allows remote attackers to interrupt services via a crafted gzip archive. The Unpack stream in src/extract.ts processes entries without cumulative-byte, entry-count, or decompression-ratio limits and continues writing expanded data. Exploitation requires a consuming application to extract an untrusted archive and can exhaust host disk space and CPU, crashing affected services.
