Command execution via unsanitized asset path interpolation
Published Jul 9, 2026 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
DOM-based XSS in SiYuan before 3.7.1 allows remote attackers to execute OS commands when a user clicks a crafted asset link. Asset.render in app/src/asset/index.ts inserts this.path into an innerHTML template without HTML encoding, so a quote escapes the src attribute and adds an event handler. The default Electron renderer exposes Node.js with context isolation disabled, giving the injected handler direct child-process access after the link click.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
