Authenticated file disclosure via unconfined snippets path
Published Jul 9, 2026 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Path traversal in SiYuan before 3.7.1 allows remote authenticated users to read workspace secrets and the document database. The serveSnippets handler joins the single-decoded /snippets/ path to the snippets directory and serves the result without enforcing subpath containment or blocking sensitive paths. Any authenticated non-admin account can traverse to conf/conf.json for API and access secrets or to temp/siyuan.db for note content, while file permissions bound host-file access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
