Hidden revision disclosure via adjacent visible diffs
Published Jul 9, 2026 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Information disclosure in affected Discourse branches allows remote attackers to read hidden post revisions through adjacent visible diffs. PostRevisionSerializer calculated and serialized body, title, metadata, and user diffs without suppressing output when either side was a hidden adjacent revision. Any remote user able to request revision history could recover content concealed from regular users; no write or service-interruption impact is reported.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=>= 2026.1.0-latest, < 2026.1.5
- Affected versionversion=>= 2026.4.0-latest, < 2026.4.2
