Credential exfiltration via unvalidated tool upload paths
Published Jul 8, 2026 · Updated Jul 8, 2026
Path validation bypass in Composio SDK before 0.2.32-beta.283 allows remote attackers to exfiltrate files through agent tool calls. The CLI's readFileFromDisk function passes attacker-influenced file_uploadable paths directly to fs.readFile and uploads the bytes without invoking assertSafeFileUploadPath. Exploitation requires influence over an LLM that supplies arguments to a file-uploadable tool and exposes any local file readable by the CLI process.
