Cross-seller access manipulation via missing ownership guard
Published Jul 8, 2026 · Updated Jul 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Gumroad before 2026.07.06.2 allows remote authenticated users to alter buyer access to another seller's products. The two PurchasesController actions loaded a purchase by external ID but omitted the before_action that verifies the current seller owns it. A seller account and another purchase's external ID are required; successful requests revoke or restore that buyer's access.
