Internal resource disclosure via unfiltered asset fetches
Published Aug 13, 2026 · Updated Aug 13, 2026
SSRF in Gitea 1.26.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read internal resources through crafted migration assets. Migration and OAuth avatar paths call raw http.Get, while modules/uri/uri.go also passes file URLs to os.Open without hostmatcher filtering. Exploitation requires migration privileges such as administrator or organization-owner access, or an administrator-configured OAuth source, and exposes internal services, cloud metadata, or files readable by the Gitea process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
