Denial of service in Gitea 1.26.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to exhaust server resources via Arch package uploads. ParsePackage appends every non-dot regular tar-entry name to FileMetadata.Files without bounding the entry count or cumulative name bytes, then serializes and stores the list for repository-index generation. Package-publishing permission is required; highly compressible archives amplify CPU, memory, database-storage, and index-processing costs without reported confidentiality or integrity loss.
