Open redirect via backslash-prefixed request paths
Published Jul 27, 2026 · Updated Jul 27, 2026
Open redirect in Astro 8.1.0 through 11.0.1 allows remote attackers to redirect users externally via crafted request paths. The @astrojs/node static file handler misclassifies slash-backslash paths in isInternalPath and echoes the raw path into a 301 Location header. Exploitation requires non-default trailingSlash behavior, a final segment without a file extension, and user interaction with the crafted link.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
