Unauthenticated data exposure via ignored privacy setting
Published Jul 9, 2026 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Improper access control in Hoppscotch before 2026.6.0 allows remote attackers to read private collection data through public mock servers. MockServerService omits the isPublic input when creating the database record, so Prisma applies schema.prisma's true default instead of the requested privacy setting. Exposure begins when an authenticated user creates a mock server for a private collection; subsequent requests need no authentication.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
