Portfolio data disclosure via missing grantee filter
Published Jul 7, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Missing authorization in Ghostfolio 3.6.0 and earlier allows remote attackers with a private access ID to read full portfolio data. The public portfolio controller queries access records by accessId without requiring granteeUserId to be null, so private shares pass the check. Possession of a private access ID is required; exploitation discloses holdings, quantities, buy prices, performance metrics, and recent activity without modifying data.
