Secret disclosure and SSRF via unauthenticated configuration API
Published Jul 7, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Missing authentication in Mem0 OpenMemory through commit a3154d5 allows remote attackers to disclose API keys and trigger SSRF. Configuration routes in openmemory/api/app/routers/config.py return stored api_key values and accept an unvalidated ollama_base_url that the server later requests. Any network client that can reach the API can read configured secrets or direct server requests to internal services, including cloud metadata endpoints.
