Unauthenticated memory disclosure and modification via unprotected routers
Published Jul 7, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Missing authentication in Mem0 OpenMemory API a3154d5 allows remote attackers to read, write, and delete arbitrary user memories. The application registers its memory routers without authentication middleware, while handlers trust caller-supplied user identifiers or fetch records directly by UUID. Any network client that can reach the self-hosted API can expose or alter private memory content, and the unauthenticated global-pause action can interrupt service for every user.
