Cross-user AI metadata disclosure via unchecked video ID
Published Jul 7, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Missing authorization in Cap through commit 8d48642 allows remote authenticated users to read private video AI metadata by ID. The GET /api/video/ai route queries videos by the supplied videoId and returns AI titles, summaries, and chapters without applying VideosPolicy.canView. Any account with a valid session and another video's ID can disclose that metadata or enqueue AI generation that consumes the owner's credits.
