Arbitrary file write in OpenRGB 1.0rc3 and earlier allows attackers to compromise the daemon account through the network SDK. The SDK's UPDATEMODE handler stores an unfiltered mode-description string in profile data, and SAVE_PROFILE writes that data to a client-chosen path without confining it to the configuration directory. Exploitation requires a registered LED controller; a root daemon permits system compromise, while a user daemon permits takeover of that account.
