Code execution via invalidated Annotation object access
Published Apr 27, 2026 · Updated Apr 27, 2026
Use-after-free in affected Foxit PDF Editor and PDF Reader versions allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted PDF. After a script removes comments, Annotation handling triggers a UI refresh and operates on an object without first verifying that it still exists, dereferencing an invalidated object. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file, and successful code execution occurs in the current process context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
