Application crash via XFA object reuse
Published Apr 27, 2026 · Updated Apr 27, 2026
Use-after-free in Foxit PDF Editor and Foxit PDF Reader 2026.1 and earlier allows attackers to crash the application via a crafted XFA PDF. During XFA calculate-event processing, the application accesses an object or pointer after deletion or destruction instead of validating the reference before reuse. Opening the crafted document is required, and the published assessment limits the demonstrated impact to an application crash without confidentiality or integrity loss.
