CVE-2026-5937

Application crash via unhandled directory-import exception

Published Apr 27, 2026 · Updated Apr 27, 2026

Uncaught exception in affected Foxit PDF Editor and PDF Reader releases allows attackers to crash the Windows application during directory import. Insufficient parameter verification accepts malformed file data during automatic directory-import tasks and lets std::invalid_argument escape without a handler. A local user must induce interaction with the crafted input; the result is process termination without reported confidentiality or integrity impact.
