CVE-2026-59311

Local file planting and disclosure via symlink

Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026

Link following in Spring Integration allows local users to redirect Zip/UnZip transformer output into an attacker-chosen directory. The transformers use the fixed /tmp/ziptransformer work path without rejecting a pre-existing symbolic link, so writes follow the link under the application's account. Affected releases are 6.4.0 through 6.4.12, 6.5.0 through 6.5.10, 7.0.0 through 7.0.5, and 7.1.0; exploitation requires same-host access and pre-start link creation, enabling file planting or disclosure.
