Safety guard bypass in affected Spring Framework releases allows attackers to evade SpEL restrictions through compiled expressions. The SpEL compiler silently compiles expressions evaluated with SimpleEvaluationContext, so later evaluations skip interpreter-enforced guards. Reachability requires attacker-influenced expressions and IMMEDIATE or MIXED compilation; distinct expressions can also drive unbounded class loading.
