Route manipulation via unfiltered MIME control headers
Published Aug 24, 2026 · Updated Aug 24, 2026
Header injection in Apache Camel allows attackers to alter route behavior via crafted MIME messages processed by camel-mail. With headersInline enabled, MimeMultipart copies sender-controlled header names into the Exchange without a HeaderFilterStrategy, including Camel control headers. The option is disabled by default, and the resulting action depends on which downstream processors trust the injected headers.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
